Quest Software’s new tools simplify Microsoft Sharepoint Server 2010 migration

Quest Software announced a full set of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 ready solutions designed to help prepare, migrate to, manage, and customize SharePoint Server 2010. The press release detailed the administration and migration features offered by the new tools

Preparation

• Site Administrator for SharePoint - advanced reporting, permissions management and auditing.
• Server Administrator for SharePoint - management of server and farm configurations and customizations. Download the public beta now.

Migration

• Migration Manager for SharePoint- migration and consolidation to SharePoint Server 2010.
• Notes Migrator for SharePoint- analysis and migration of Notes content to SharePoint Server 2010 and SharePoint Online.

Management

• Recovery Manager for SharePoint - item level recovery of SharePoint data.
• Site Administrator Reports Freeware- at-a-glance site reporting delivered from the cloud. Download now.

The company also said a public beta is underway for Quest’s newest addition to its SharePoint Server 2010 offering, Quest Server Administrator 1.0. The beta is downloadable now through May 31, 2010 on the Quest community site, www.sharepointforall.com.
