Tarun Sareen Quits EMC

Sareen who has been with EMC since 2009, was leading the EMC IT - Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) and the Global Delivery Program of EMC IT organization.

Tarun Sareen EMC Corporation’s Head IT - Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) and APJ Theater Lead, has quit the company. Company sources have confirmed this development in an email response; no exact date of Sareen's departure from the company has been confirmed as yet. 

Sareen who has been with EMC since 2009, was leading the EMC IT - Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) and the Global Delivery Program of EMC IT organization. His core responsibility has been to deliver innovative business solutions to enable EMC’s business objectives and strategic priorities by driving and maturing end to end IT solutions and services development and delivery and infrastructure management services. 

The company sources offered no comment on the reason around Sareen’s exit from EMC, citing “a long standing company policy on no comments being issued around individuals.”

During his tenure at EMC, Sareen has been responsible for developing key next gen organizational capabilities in Cloud Platforms and Services, Big Data, Third Platform Capabilities (Social, Mobile, Analytics, Agile, SaaS) and Security in APJ. Interestingly, Sareen has also been an active speaker in CIO and EMC forums, working with organizations on their IT strategy and transformation.

Prior to joining EMC, Sareen had held various senior leadership positions, including Head for Internet and Mobile Banking for emerging markets at Barclays, Director at Microsoft IT, and leadership positions at General Electric. Before GE, Sareen was a Senior Consultant at Cap Gemini, USA.

No further information is currently available regarding Tarun Sareen's next venture.
